Guardian Angel

A child about to be born asks God ...

Child - I've heard that I'll be sent to earth tomorrow ...

I'm small and fragile.... How am I going to live there ?

God - Among many angels I chose a special one for you.

Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.

Child - But tell me ... here in Heaven I don't do anything aside from singing  and smiling which is enough to make me happy. Will I be happy there ?

God - Your angel will sing and smile for you ... as time goes by you will feel how much your angel loves you and that will make you happy.

Child - How will I understand what people say if I don't know their language ?

God - With patience and love your angel will teach you how to speak.

Child - How will I be able to speak to You ?

God - Your angel will put your hands together and teach you how to pray.

Child - I've heard that there are some bad people on earth. Who will protect me ?

God - Your angel will protect you even if it means risking its own life.

Child - But I'll be sad because I won't see you anymore.

God - Your angel will always tell you about me and teach you how to get to me.

I'll always be inside your heart.

At that moment there was peace in Heaven but the voices down on earth could already be heard. The child , in a hurry , asked ...

Child - Oh , God ! If I'm about to be sent to earth please tell me the name of my angel ...

God - You will call your angel MOM !!!!
